6/18/06   New Record High Maximum Temp Set Today at 108.6°F
          the old Record was 108.0°F in 1997

6/13/06   New Record High Maximum Temp Set Today at 106.8°F
          the old Record was 104.6°F in 2000

6/12/06   New Record High Maximum Temp Tied Today at 102.8°F
          the old Record was 102.5°F in 2000

6/11/06   New Record High Maximum Temp Set Today at 102.9°F
          the old Record was 101.6°F in 2001

6/07/06   New Record High Minimum Temp Set Today at 82.9°F
          the old Record was 75.7°F in 2000 
          
          We also had are first measurable rain for Jun 7th
          with 0.05 inches and a wind gust of 36 mph at 5:34pm

6/06/06   Somewhat unusual weather occurred today with a
          fairly strong dust storm and Haboob,(wall of dust)
          hit the Phoenix Area. It arrived a Pepper Ridge at
          approximately 6:30pm with a fairly strong wind gust
          of 26 mph at 6:40pm.

This weather is more typicially seen at the beginning of
          July the usual start of the monsoon season. However this
          current weather is not related to the Monsoon, but it 
          is being cause by the combination of a cut out low centered
          around Baja Calif and the strong high pressure that has been
          centered over Ariz creating all the heat has now moved east
          and is centered over Eastern New Mexico. This weather pattern
          is importing moisture from Mexico and causing the Dust and
          Thunderstorms over Arizona! The pattern is suppose to last
          through Friday at the latest. We will then return to typical
          June Weather.

It was slightly less hot with today with a high of 
          102.2°F not a record high ending 5 straight days of
          a record high being tied or broken, however the 
          following record was established today!

6/06/06   New Record High Minimum Temp Set Today at 78.1°F
          the old Record was 76.0°F in 1997 - 2000

The Records continue to fall with the 5th straight
          day of either a tie or a new record established!!

6/05/06   New Record High Maximum Temp Set Today at 106.5°F
          the old Record was 105.9°F in 2000

6/05/06   Also a New Record High Mean Temp Set Today at 92.5°F
          the old Record was 90.3°F in 2000 & 2004

6/04/06   New Record High Maximum Temp Set Today at 110.2°F*
          the old Record was 104.7°F in 2004
          * Earliest occurence of a 110°F Day on Record

5/16/06   A rare May event occured Today, we had a Thunderstorm
          with heavy rain occuring between 5:05pm and 5:30pm
          a record 0.51 inches fell. This day is now the wetest
          May day on record as well as the wetest May total on
          record at 0.51 inches. The May average is only 0.06 inches.

The unusual May storm even knock out the power at
          approximately 5pm in the area knocking the weather
          upload for our website. Forntunately our battery
          backup kept the weather station and lightning detection
          running while the power was down, unfortunatelly we could
          not upload to the website until the power was restored.
         
          Sorry for the inconvience of not being able to access the
          site during the power outage.

5/14/06   Today at approx 2:23pm the Pepper Ridge North Valley
          Weather Station finally reach 100°F for the first
          time this year after flirting with the century mark
          for the last 3 Days. The final high temperature of
          the day of 101.6°F was also a new high Maximum for
          the date breaking old record of 101°F set in 1997.

          the old Record was 96.4°F 2000

4/28/06   New Record low Minimum Temp Set Today at 50.3°F
          the old Record was 55.8°F 2000

4/28/06   New Record low Maximum Temp Set Today at 73.3°F
          the old Record was 73.6°F 2005

4/28/06   Also New record low mean set today at 62.0°F
          the old Record 65.6°F 2005

4/13/06   Today marks the first 90°F of the year the with a
          high of 93.7°F that was just 2°F shy of the record 
          for the date of 95.6 in 2002

4/4/06    New Record High Minimum Temp Set Today at 62.5°F
          the old Record was 56.7°F 2000 & 2002

3/22/06   New Record low Minimum Temp Set Today at 35.9°F
          the old Record was 42.5°F 2000

3/22/06   New Record Low Mean Temp Set Today at 51.6°F
          the old Record was 57.1°F 2000

3/22/06   New Record low Maximum Temp Set Today at 66.9°F
          the old Record was 67.7°F 2005

3/19/06   New Record low Maximum Temp Set Today at 50.8°F
          the old Record was 61.0°F 2005

3/19/06   New Record Low Mean Temp Set Today at 46.3°F
          the old Record was 56.4°F 2003

3/12/06   The Dry Streak has ended at this location, as rain has
          fallen on 3/11/06 with 1.61 inches, so the new dry streak
          record stands at 143 days with no measurable rain not
          even a trace. From Oct 19, 2005 to Mar 10, 2006
          This broke the old record by 42 days! The old record
          was 101 days which occured from Sept 23, 1999
          to Jan 2, 2000.
          
3/11/06   New Record low Maximum Temp Set Today at 52.5°F
          the old Record was 56.7°F 2001
          
3/11/06   New Record Low Minimum Temp Set Today at 39.1°F
          the old Record was 40.9°F 2001
          
3/11/06   New Record Low Mean Temp Set Today at 43.0°F
          the old Record was 48.9°F 2001  
          
3/11/06   This also marks the coldest March day on record
          at this station and a record rainfall day of
          1.61 inches.

3/05/06   New Record High Maximum Temp Set Today at 77.9°F
          the old Record was 77.0°F 1997

3/01/06   Record for dryness in February Tied at 0.00 inches
          The other time this occured was Feb 2000.
          Also this marks the 4th Calender month without
          measurable rain a new record and the driest
          Nov - Feb on record!

3/01/06   New Record High Mininum Temp Set Today at 53.8°F
          the old Record was 51.1°F 1999

1/31/06   New record for dryness in January. There was no
          precipitation of any kind not even a trace in January
          0.00 inches for the first time in the history at this
          weather station the prior lowest January total was
          0.03 inches in 1999. This also only the 2nd time that
          this weather station has had 3 calender months in row
          (Nov-Jan) without any rain. The other occurance was
          (Oct-Dec) in 1999.

The all time record for consecutive days in row 
          without rain  of any form not even at Trace continues
          and now stands at 105 days through the end of January.

1/28/06   Today's is Day 102 without any precipitation
          of any form not even a trace. This year has now
          set a new alltime record for the longest dry streak!
          Each day after today with no rain will extend the
          new alltime record until it finally rains again.
                      
          The previous alltime record for consecutive days 
          with no rain not even a trace was 101 days set 
          back in 1999 from Sept 23, 1999 -  Jan 2, 2000.
